70s Single Fin
In the world of surfing, the 70s often evoke iconic images like that of Gerry Lopez on his Pipeliner. Unfortunately, we don’t have the same waves or talent as those legends! With the 70’s Single Fin, I offer a retro-style board inspired by the 70s, but designed for a truly enjoyable surfing experience in waves ranging from 1m to 2.5m.
Designed with generous volume concentrated at the front, this board allows for early takeoffs and acceleration along the face of the wave. Its low, hard rails, inspired by the designs of Gerry Lopez and Dick Brewer, provide exceptional control and optimal buoyancy.
The bottom contour is crafted with simplicity: a slight vee at the nose, an almost flat section, followed by a subtle spiral vee under the back foot for increased maneuverability and dynamic responsiveness. Despite its generous proportions, this board remains easy to maneuver, providing immediate positive sensations. Come discover it for yourself by testing one of these boards at the workshop. If you’re a fan of single fins, it’s definitely worth it!
