Pig
The Pig perfectly embodies the essence of the classic longboard from the 1950s and early 1960s. Developed by Dale Velzy in Malibu, it is a symbol of authenticity in the longboard world. Featuring a set-back mid-point, a wide and kicked tail, and a narrow and taut nose (reverse rocker: the foam blank is shaped upside down), the Pig showcases a continuous belly and 50/50 rails. A spoon can be added upon request to facilitate noseriding.
It is also recommended to equip it with a D-fin positioned 2 inches from the tail.
This configuration provides an ideal foundation for classic longboard enthusiasts. You will be surprised by its maneuverability once your foot is firmly planted on the tail, as well as by its endless noserides with the tail securely positioned in the pocket.
As with the other longboard models, the Volan option is recommended: it provides more weight and durability, as well as better inertia and stability. The Pig is not just a disposable piece of equipment; with proper care, this board will remain rideable for 20 years.
